Five Factors Shape The Air You Breathe
Carbon Dioxide
CO₂ builds up when ventilation is inadequate. At around 1,400 ppm, one study found cognitive scores fell by 50%, while bedroom studies link elevated levels with less deep sleep, more waking and worse concentration the next day.
Nitrogen Oxides

Do I need to calibrate my AirLab Pro before using it for the first time?
No, the AirLab Pro comes fully factory-calibrated and is ready to use out of the box. However, several sensors require a short stabilisation period to adapt to your environment and deliver the most accurate readings.
Where should I place the AirLab Pro for the best results?
Place AirLab Pro in a frequently occupied indoor room, ideally on a stable surface around normal breathing height with clear airflow around the inlet grille.
Keep it away from direct sunlight, windows, doors, HVAC vents, fans, air purifiers, cooking appliances and other sources of strong airflow or rapidly changing heat and humidity. Avoid enclosed locations such as cupboards, shelves with restricted airflow or areas where condensation or water exposure may occur.
What is the Mould Risk Indicator?
The Mould Risk Indicator on the AirLab Pro estimates the likelihood of mould growth by analysing temperature and humidity trends over time. It does not detect mould spores directly; instead, it calculates a risk percentage from 0 to 100% based on how conducive the environment is to the development of common indoor moulds, acting as an early-warning indicator so you can take further action.
How long does the battery last?
AirLab Pro provides up to 16 hours of portable use on a full charge, making it easy to move between rooms and monitor air quality wherever you go. For continuous monitoring in a fixed location, simply keep it connected to USB-C power.

Do I need the app or a subscription?
No subscription is required. Your AirLab Pro is fully functional out of the box, with zero ongoing costs.
The free AirLab app adds remote monitoring, smartphone notifications, historical trends and additional device settings.
Can I customise alerts and notifications?
You can customise alerts for CO₂, PM2.5, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) directly through the AirLab app. While air quality thresholds such as Optimal and Suboptimal are fixed and based on EPA guidance, you can choose the alert trigger level for these metrics. The app also allows you to toggle device alerts on or off, so you can disable audible alerts from the device while still receiving smartphone notifications, depending on your phone’s settings.
Can I view and download historical data?
Yes. The AirLab app provides daily, weekly and monthly historical trends across each monitored metric for up to one year, helping you identify air quality patterns, gain key insights and take informed action.
What regional spelling and temperature units are supported?
The AirLab Pro and AirLab app support both Australian/British and U.S. settings, using the corresponding regional spelling and displaying temperatures in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit, respectively. To switch between regional preferences, click the function button once.

Can I monitor multiple rooms at the same time?
Yes. Add an AirLab Pro to each important room and connect every device to the same AirLab account. The app brings them together in one place, allowing you to check live conditions throughout your home without moving a single monitor between rooms.
How many AirLab Pro devices can I add to one account?
There is no set limit to the number of AirLab Pro devices you can add to one AirLab account. Add devices across as many rooms, floors, homes or workplaces as needed, then name each one according to where it is placed for easier monitoring.
Can I compare air quality between different rooms?
Yes. Each AirLab Pro appears separately in the app, making it easy to compare current readings and identify which rooms experience higher CO₂, particles, chemicals, humidity or other air quality concerns.
Can I view historical trends for each room separately?
Yes. Every AirLab Pro maintains its own historical data in the app. You can review daily, weekly and monthly trends for each room separately to understand what changed, where it happened and whether patterns are improving over time.
Why should I monitor more than one room?
Indoor air quality can vary significantly from room to room. Cooking, sleeping, heating, cleaning, furnishings, ventilation and occupancy all create different conditions. Monitoring the rooms that matter most reveals localised problems and historical patterns that a single monitor may miss.
Can I monitor different homes or locations from one account?
Yes. AirLab Pro devices can be added across different homes, offices or other locations and viewed from the same AirLab account. As long as each device remains online, you can check its air quality remotely from the app.
Can I receive alerts from multiple AirLab Pro devices?
Yes. Smartphone notifications can be received from multiple connected AirLab Pro devices, helping you stay informed when conditions change in any monitored room or location.

What warranty comes with the AirLab Pro?
AirLab Pro includes a 24-month limited warranty. Register your device within 60 days of purchase to receive an additional 12 months of coverage at no cost, extending the total warranty period to 36 months. Registration does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
What happens if my AirLab Pro develops a fault?
Contact the AusAir support team with your order details and a description of the issue. We will help troubleshoot the device and, where the fault is covered by warranty or applicable consumer law, arrange the appropriate repair, replacement or remedy.

How do software updates work?

Yes. AirLab Pro uses USB-C power, and additional compatible cables can be used. AusAir also offers a longer 2-metre USB-C cable separately for rooms where the nearest power point is further away.
